Progress, Not Perfection

I've spent a week now counting my calories, and I'm finally feeling better about my eating habits. When I first started counting my calories, I was astonished at how many I was consuming in one day. I was taking in 3000-5000 Calories daily! But now I've started drinking more water and striving to make healthier choices. I started picking healthier snacks, like fruit and nuts, cutting back on sugary coffee and soda, (I still have coffee in the morning with a little sugar, and a diet soda now and then to satisfy my cravings) and I've chosen more fresh fruits, vegetables, leaner meat, and whole wheat breads at the grocery store. The last few days I have seen a dramatic decrease in my calories consumed daily, and I'm not feeling hungry or having as many cravings for sugary things. I'm proud to say that I've been able to keep my calories around 2000 daily, and I'm keeping myself more active too.
