Goals & Gratitude 8/13/19

School has been going well. I had a midterm due yesterday for my auditing class; I should find out my score sometime next week. Today was the dreaded managerial accounting day. I did really well on the quiz (90%) and one of the homeworks (92%) but got a 77% on the second homework so I guess it all evens out. I still have an 86% average for the homework and quizzes, and my goal is to maintain that for the entire class. I thought I didn't understand this week's work as I found the reading confusing, but when I went to do the homework today, I found I understood it pretty well and was able to figure out most of it, except one thing, which is why I got a 77%.
I got to talk on the phone to my friend Sarah in Wisconsin tonight. We don't get to talk often because she has a 2-year-old. But we got to talk for a little while about how things are going. She sounds good. She has a new job, and her son is getting good treatment for his autism. She's seeing improvement in his communication skills regularly, which is a great thing. I hope once I get a job to be able to go back and visit her. I've never met her son.
Tomorrow I'm baking bread for church. We make a special sweet bread for feast days called artoklasia. Tomorrow evening is the service for the Dormition (Assumption) of the Virgin Mary. I won't be able to go to service as it's at midnight and that will screw up my sleep schedule way too much if I'm awake until 1 AM, but I will drop off the bread.
I'm having friends over for dinner on Friday, so I need to start cleaning up the house tomorrow. I also have a bunch of errands to run. And I want to get a walk in. I will be super busy for sure the next couple of days. I'm making potato tacos on Friday. Yum!
1) Work on cleaning the living and dining rooms.
2) Bake bread.
3) Run errands.
Today I'm Grateful For...
1) That I got to talk to Sarah for a little while.
2) That I got a 90% on my quiz.
3) That I can take a break from homework tomorrow.
