Had a rough but relaxed day yesterday. DH is not doing well... he may be having heart problems, is going to pick up a heart monitor today and had tests done yesterday. I'm very concerned. He's staying home today to rest up, thank goodness. Means I have to rearrange the schedule and figure out how to get everything done that needs to be done soon.
I've decided not to do the 100 Glute Challenge by Blogilates. It was a tough decision, but I visited her youtube channel and saw a 100 Ab Challenge and decided to do that instead. I need core strength and stability more than I need to work on my glutes. I'm going to go work out for my morning workout in a minute (cardio, balance on the Bosu ball, yoga) and then will to the ab challenge with my kiddos and their cardio, either the treadmill or we all go for a walk (double cardio for me!).
I have a lot of cleaning and organizing to do, as well as cooking. I've also got to clean out the fridge to make room for what I'm going to cook today. I have not stuck to my routine very well this morning, I should already be done with working out, but needed time for my coffee to settle and to wake up more, I'm rather groggy this morning. My goal is to stay busy as possible and to listen to a podcast by Ruth Soukup while working out and cleaning... gotta find my ear buds or figure out how to pair my cordless headphones with my phone. DH is here, so maybe he can pair them for me.
I'm saving up to buy a lot of yarn, good wool, I think, as it is warmer. We are going to visit friends in NJ and go to NY around Christmas time, and I want all of us to have hats, scarves and fingerless gloves or mittens (I'm not good at gloves with fingers) and make a set for our friends as well. I still have an afghan to make for my friend, but I think that will come second to making the things we will need for this winter.
I'm also getting set up to start practicing sewing. I don't have a project in mind, I just want to practice the things I learn on the videos I'm going to watch, like straight lines and curves, sewing in zippers all the different ways, and now that I have plenty of scrap material to do so (I also bought a batch of zippers a year ago) I'll have plenty to work with. I'm going to make a few repairs, and am hoping to learn how to hem pants soon so I can hem DH's pants, he gave me several pairs to practice on, and eventually get good enough to hem the ones he wears and my own when I get to the next size down pants.
My new sports bras came in, and I can't wait to try them out and see if they work as well as I'm told they would. I'm tired of bouncing and such. I don't want to have to use an ace bandage to keep things in place like I used to have to do! Now that I'm getting more active and moving around a lot more, I need the support. My regular bras have that, but the sports bras I had were awful.
Well, off to change and get this day started!! Hope you have an awesome Tuesday!!
