The cookies were on sale

The cookies were inhaled. Not all of them, mind you, but enough to cause an exasperated "GAHHH" to escape the lips of the perpetrator. Which would be me. Alas.
The shopping trip was otherwise uneventful, a bit of Gatorade zero breaking up the monotony of just plucking things off the shopping list, and adding a touch of color (in this case yellow, as I grabbed lemon lime) to the cart. I mean, there was other color, but as I grabbed Green grapes, Green lettuce, Green apples, and bananas that were not yet ripe so as to eat them more towards the end of the week, things were getting a bit monotonous. And I didn't even mention the Green peppers yet.
So a little color that was not green was in order for the cart. Oddly, the cookies I snagged a few minutes later even fit the emerging color scheme(s) even if I didn't notice until I started scribbling this missive, oh, about 32 hours after returning from the store. You see, they were Keebler Grasshoppers, the mint (associated with green!) chocolate cookies that come in a bright yellow (!) package. So those were certainly the dominant colors of Monday's shopping excursion.
As for Tuesday, I didn't accomplish anything, which is why, early on Wednesday morning, I'm still talking about Monday. Just the way it goes sometimes. After all, as the song says, "Yesterday, today was tomorrow."
