So I have been Missing in Action, not that I haven't been active.
I have had to pretty much box up the master bedroom and closet and move it to the great room till the renovations from the water damage was fixed and put in order. I was sleeping in the office whilst Erik's room remained untouched. However the water damage included hardwood floors that were glued down shortly after Erik's accident-and flowed pretty much through the entire house. After the master bedroom/bathroom walls, vanity, floors were repaired, I moved the everything plus back into my room and closet, office, garage, shed as all the flooring had to go.
the origin of my problems, one little valve that opens the water to the outdoors!
Led to this:
The concrete was damaged in spots and needed extra scraping and leveling! Two extra days of labor-not expected.
Now we have Bamboo snap together flooring on a nice insulation.
new bathroom vanity.
finally Erik's suite.
So all these rooms have to be put back together, but as you may have noted, I have open concept with remodeling going on in the kitchen-there is still a lot of dust flying around.
But things are looking up, I even managed to put up my lace curtains in my bedroom that I bought in Belgium in May.
And my sewing table is ready for action!
A lot of out of the house things have happened too-besides the trip to Belgium which happened between the remediation and renovation. My aunt's birthday was much more important than fixing the house.
Erik has gotten a new AFO from a new company. They are closer to home and much easier (so far) to deal with.
I lost another good friend to cancer, only this one I was able to visit before her passing and attend her funeral. Unlike my precious spark friend Janet552 who passed away earlier this year.
And I lost five pounds all the extra moving boxes around had some value.
When my kitchen is done-hopefully before my birthday....HAHA...even if the remodel is done, I may have to have a Help Ginie put her kitchen back together party for my birthday! We shall see!
Once again sorry for the lengthy absence, and I pray y'all are doing well.
