Goals & Gratitude 8/5/19

I made it home from my Dad's this afternoon. I stopped and picked up a salad for lunch as I have no food in the house. I found some soup in the freezer that I'm defrosting for dinner, so at least I don't have to eat out tonight as well. The salad was from Rubio's and was quite good-- mango-avocado salad with shrimp. And it was low enough in calories that I didn't go over today. And since I've been going over most days, that's important. I really wanted a shrimp burrito, but I knew if I had it that I would way over my calories and sodium intake. I'm trying to make healthier choices, one day at a time...
My house is currently a mess, and I'm not sure how it happened! It's clean, but there's tons of stuff in my living room. I have three boxes of books that were mailed to me that I'm giving away at church, a suitcase that needs to be repaired, several bags of stuff from when I cleaned out my car, five bags of non-perishable food that a friend is storing here while she's out of town (she had to move out of her apartment), and two big boxes of cookbooks that I brought back from my Dad's house. I have to figure out where to put the food for the next 2-3 months, and everything else just needs to be cleaned out and put away. I am cleaning out one bookshelf that has a bunch of stuff in it I don't want so I can put the cookbooks there. I guess I know what I'm doing next weekend!
I'm meeting with my Managerial Accounting teacher in about an hour online to review the past three chapters' quizzes so that I'm good and ready to take the midterm tomorrow afternoon. I also want to plan out my meals on Plan to Eat tonight so that I know what I'm cooking this week. I have a couple of things in mind that I want to make, but I need to find 2-3 more recipes to add in. And I do have two containers of soup from the freezer to eat up this week. I would also like to go for a walk after I have my meeting with my teacher. It's still really hot, but it should be cooler by 7 or so.
1) Take the midterm. And to remember to take my time and not rush so that I get as many correct as I can.
2) Go to the grocery store.
3) Go for a walk.
Today I'm Grateful For...
1) That there was only a little traffic when I was driving home from Dad's.
2) For making healthy choices when other choices would have tasted better.
3) For AC (again). My Dad doesn't turn on the AC at his house, and it was just so hot last weekend.
