Diagnosis - Not Defining Me
Monday, August 05, 2019
Sometimes a wake-up call is what needed to make a person like me fight for my life. In the past two years my doctor warned me that my blood sugar and HBP was high and to do something. In December 2017 right before Christmas, i started having issues with my legs to the point i could barely walk. I started Physical therapy and it started to help. in March I was diagnosed with HBP and then Diabetes in June. Since March, I have lost 34 lbs. But I am still having issues with the diabetes and trying to get it under control. I go to a Diabetic and Nutrition class next Friday.
I decided to up my workouts to 5 days a week to include one day of strength training (after a few weeks this will be twice a week). I was not being consistent in my eating and exercise but will now. This is my do or die and I can't afford to die. So i am going to fight to win.
I know it will take my continuous efforts every day to beat this. I will beat diabetes and it will leave my body for good.
