Goals & Gratitude 7/29/19

I am really struggling with sleep right now. I'm slept 6 hours or less at night the last three nights. Two of those nights I had to get up early and I tend not to fall asleep until after midnight. Last night, I didn't fall asleep until after 2 AM, then I woke up at 7:30 AM and couldn't get back to sleep. I got up and I'm been busy Sparking and doing chores, but I'm really tired. I'm going to try to nap this afternoon and see if that helps. Hopefully I will sleep better tonight. I think it's because of the heat. I have AC in my bedroom at night, but I'm still so hot. I end up sleep on top of bed with no sheets on me just to stay cool. I'm not in menopause yet but I have hot flashes regularly at night. I think when I do hit menopause, it's going to be a nightmare.

I finished up my Business Law class Saturday night. I have a A (95%) in it right now, but there are a couple of things still to be graded and the extra credit that I did throughout the quarter has to be added in. I will definitely get an A. I should also get an A in Management, but I am waiting for my professor to grade my term paper. Now I am down to just two Accounting classes until the beginning of September. I am glad that I have more time to devote to them and that I will have more time to rest in the evenings. I miss reading or watching TV in the evenings to relax. I also have more time to exercise now. I will be taking a good walk this evening when it's cooler, and I have a meeting with my trainer at the gym tomorrow.

I went to our local monastery with some ladies from church yesterday. There's a talk on the last Sunday of the month. It was packed. There had to be 75 or 80 people there for the talk, which was wonderful, though I didn't understand it all, and I'd like to hear it again. Someone did record it, so I'll get a CD of it next month. I love going to the monastery, but it makes for a very long day, as it's 3 hours each way. At least it's only once a month.

Today's Goals:
1) Deal with the laundry. That's my last chore to do today. Everything's clean but it needs to be put away.
2) Read two chapters and do discussion board for Auditing. I asked for an extension on the homework as I've been so busy with Management and Business Law that I haven't had time to start.
3) Read the chapter for Managerial Accounting tonight and go through the PowerPoint.

Today I'm Grateful For...
1) That I got up early and had time to Spark this morning.
2) That I have AC.
3) That I have plenty of leftovers and don't have to cook this week.

    emoticon think you are right about the heat and sleeping don't have AC so the house gets stuffy at night. and you can not have you door at any time any more not safe. sounds like you are doing great with your classes and enjoying church actives

    But you can still teach with a MA, right? Hope sleep gets better for you. Sounds like perimenopause.
