This is a re-write one year later:
I have a family history high on dementia, so as I approach 70 I am perhaps hypersensitive to the problems finding the word I need, lost car keys etc.
I stopped in at a Health Food store asking about supplements for brain function.
"L-ARGININE" was recommended. I looked for it at my pharmacy and talked with the pharmacist I trust. Have just finished the first bottle.
I have been looking for fewer lost words, more remembering why I entered a room, and better scores on SUDOKU. Not aware of any changes there.
BUT My sleep is better, I have more energy, the depression has lifted greatly.

One year later: My sleep is even better; I have gone off my depression medication; I make longer 'to do' lists because I am getting things done; I have more 'creative' energy...this week sewing dresses for my grand daughter and matching doll clothes
