JUBILANT JULY DAY 22!! It's A Dark & Stormy Night

Monday, July 22, 2019

Monday’s Plum: Everybody has a part of her body that she doesn’t like, but I’ve stopped complaining about mine because I don’t want to critique nature’s handiwork… My job is simply to allow the light to shine out of the masterpiece.~Alfre Woodard

Happy Hammock Day, Ratcatcher’s Day (Pied Piper), Casual Pi Day, Fragile X Awareness Day, Global Hug Your Kid Day & Spooners (Spoonerism) Day!

What do you get when you take the sun’s circumference by its diameter?~Pi in the sky!*Who led all the apples to the bakery?~The Pie Piper!*What do you get if you cross a dog with a hammock?~A Rocker Spaniel!*How do you know a rat is hungry?~It’s breathing!

July is hollyhocks and hammocks, fireworks and vacations, hot and steamy weather, cool and refreshing swims, beach picnics, and vegetables all out of the garden - first sweet corn on the cob dripping with butter, first tomatoes dead ripe and sunwarm, string beans, squash, crisp cucumbers. July can also be hard and shiny, brassy and sharp. Some days are like copper pennies in the sunlight.~Jean Hersey~~While sleeping in a hammock, with the touch of a warm wind we remember why we are in love with the life!~Mehmet Murat Ildan~~Naps are nature's way of reminding you that life is nice, like a beautiful swinging hammock strung between birth and infinity.~Peggy Noonan~~If Spiderman was real, and I was a criminal, and he shot me with his web, I would say, "Dude, thanks for the hammock."~Mitch Hedberg~~Rats They fought the dogs and killed the cats, And bit the babies in the cradles, And ate the cheeses out of the vats, And licked the soup from the cook's own ladles. Split open the kegs of salted sprats, Made nests inside men's Sunday hats, And even spoiled the women's chats By drowning their speaking With shrieking and squeaking In fifty different sharps and flats.~Robert Browning~~There's nothing like a mama-hug.~Terri Guillemets~~Hugs can do great amounts of good - especially for children.~Princess Diana~~We need 4 hugs a day for survival. We need 8 hugs a day for maintenance. We need 12 hugs a day for growth.~Virginia Satir~~The best proof that you are still capable of learning is that there is something you recently unlearned.~Robert Brault

So, my goals are to start being more consistent in everything..... food consumption, exercise, sleep, water, decluttering.

Pahla Bowers says to lose weight consistency is the key and there is really nothing very consistent about me except my inconsistency! LOL!

Thank you for the prayers and well wishes for my nephew. I didn't hear from him today, so hoping that means all is going well!

It was sunny & hot earlier today, but by time I got out to the pool it had clouded up and gotten cooler. I feared a storm, but it held out until around 8:30 tonight. It got pretty bad at times and scared poor Sassy Girl. She climbed into Hubby's lap. Sweet Thing!

supposed to be very chill tomorrow.... Only 82! I'll probably freeze! LOL!

ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE:
*1* The support I get from several different places with my weight loss efforts.
*2* Excitement about my trip to NYC on a train! all new to all of us! My friend went in June, so I've been getting info from her! Grateful for her knowledge too!
*3* The ability to work out, access my support systems, learn, grow and keep learning!
*4* Sassy. What a baby she is! We had a short cuddle fest when I came in from the pool today!
*5* Hubby. so good to be with such a kind man. He is kind, generous, helpful and funny! What else could I want?!! Nothing!

Have a great week! Thanks for reading!

Awwww, glad Sassy could find solace in the storm in Daddy’s lap! Sweet.

Have a fantastic time in NY! My DH lived and worked in Queens when we first met (on a cruise!). Loved the city.

Glad that things appear calm for your nephew.

HUGS and here’s to a terrific Tuesday.
