One Week

Monday, July 22, 2019

So, as I begin week 2, I will recap last week: 2 swims 1 water aerobics class 2 yoga (chair) classes I didn't really focus on diet last week, intentionally. That whole ease yourself in thing, I guess. And I am going to start the autoimmune protocol on Thursday, so I have been cleaning out the fridge/freezer/pantry, reading/researching, and getting in the right mindset. Friday night I had potato chips, a brownie and ice cream - and woke up Saturday knowing that I was done with the carb-y splurges...I don't think I had realized that I had already cut so many of them and it wasn't a pleasant feeling at all - but I immediately realized what it was. I've done just about every low carb variation at some point in the last 15 years, and am glad my body remembers. I know I have more to lose this time, and I am older, and my body doesn't have the flexibility/stamina I used to have, but I'm on the right path. 2 pounds down, for a total of 12.6 since I installed the app a couple of months ago and promptly ignored it. 🤣. Steps... slowly but surely, right? Highlights: My husband joined me for both yoga classes (his first ones) and he really enjoyed them. He's taking a tai chi class tonight and I will swim while he does. He's promised to support me and says he's willing to follow whatever dietary model I am, but I really don't expect that from him. I certainly appreciate the sentiment though. My favorite Spark friend from years past is still active. 💙 Here's to Week 2

You are doing well. Using your head and not tackling too much at one time. So glad that your hubby is on board and maybe you will keep him inspired. I'm hoping to do the same with my hubby. I think mine actually looks to me to lead the way. I think yours is doing the same. emoticon
