Moon - 7-20-19

On the 50th anniversary of man's first walk on the moon, I figured a few photos of our moon would be appropriate!
I saved up some moon photos that were taken recently. Rebecca Musso took the full moon rise over Steamboat above, and Noah Wetzel caught the full moon through the trees while camping with his family in the Mount Zirkel Wilderness Area:
G. Fred Reynolds was also out to catch the full moon at the Steamboat Resort gondola:
And some days earlier Pete Surgent found the moon peeking behind trees:
And hovering over pink clouds:
I was barely a teenager when Apollo 11 landed on the moon, and likely didn't fully appreciate the magnitude of the accomplishment. As time goes on I find more wonder and awe at life, as I come to realize what kind of dedication, sacrifice, and grit goes into it!
