Week 80 of therapy and update again!

Thursday, July 18, 2019

First off I would like to start off by saying that my appointment for therapy was today instead of Tuesday. So I have a lot to discuss with you guys in terms of updates. First I seen Sheila Teddy for my neck pain and she did the reflex test and found that my reflexes are over responsive so I am waiting on an MRI right now for my neck again before I have a cervical epidural done by Dr. Mike. Then I went to see Dr. Elkady and this is where things got explained to me and got very interesting! I was told that I didn't need to be on my 2nd water pill at all because it is for people who have 25% function for their heart and mine was at 60 to 65% the last time it was checked. Also we need to know what kind of heart failure we are dealing and how bad it really is before we adjust the meds as well. He decided to take me off of the 2nd pill and also told me to increase the furosemide when I gain more than 3 lbs of water weight in 1 day. Then I went to see Dr. Feder, my eye specialist and he told that I have chronic dry eye now. I have to use Restasis now. I am grateful for all of this however it has kept me on my toes.
My God Dare - I am reading a book by Kate Battistelli, Francesca Battistelli's mom and I have finished chapter 1 and felt the Lord tugging on my heart telling me to complete my book that I have been putting off for the past year and so without further ado. I have chosen to dive in and complete it and move on to the next one.

Good news about being able to drop a med. I do sympathize with your health challenges. It can get to be pretty overwhelming.

    Thank you for the update.

Did you know after being on that med for your chronic eyes, that you can one day just go to an over the counter prescription. Be sure to follow the doctors advice.
