Day 198: Where’s the Snow???
Wednesday, July 17, 2019
"No one rises above who he or she has been without first having fallen down. The best time -- in fact, the only time -- to make a real change in your life is in the moment of seeing the need for it. He who hesitates always gets lost in the hundred reasons why tomorrow is a better day to get started." (Guy Finley)
Happy Hump Day!!!
It is so hot here! It didn’t make it to 100, but at 97 who really feels a difference? It was hot! Let’s talk about snow, really. Did you know there was skiing up in the mountains here on the 4th of July? Yep, and last weekend as well. A-Basin has snow still enough to have two runs open. No word if it’s opened this weekend. How crazy is that we still have skiing going on?
This morning I woke up before 8 a.m. and went outside and mowed and edged the front yard. It was cloudy and I got that all done before 10a.m., YAY! I came in and rested for a couple of hours and the clouds came over and I ran out and did the backyard in an hour. Whew! I know I always talk about not doing both the front and the back, but I have other things to do tomorrow and Friday. I’m beat, but I’m so glad that the yard is done. We have to pick up some things tomorrow and we’re both getting our hair cut. The one thing this has done is both of us have been working and cleaning things up.
I’m pretty sure at some point I’m going to nap on the couch tonight because I’m beat and tired.
