Flea Market Splurge

Sunday, July 14, 2019

Walking home from church, a splurge indeed,. Not so much in dollars - but in potential calories. I've seen a few recipes for ice cream or gelato, but they required one of those small freezer-based ice cream machines. Which I no longer have, having discarded one years ago. Kind of like my old bread machine and my old pasta maker. Things come and go.

But on the flea market table was a brand new ice cream maker. Never used. Cheap. So I got it. And I'm going to create one of those recipes. Good news - the volume this thing can make is small, so there won't be much to deal with. Bad news - portion control will be difficult even if the total volume is small, and particularly if the stuff comes out tasting as well as promised by Chef John.

We shall see!

Sounds yummy. Good luck. Just make it as a treat and don't overdo it. Do a bit more exercise to make it up.
