Slight progress

I love when progress finally becomes visible. You know it takes discipline to do things over and over without seeing immediate results. When your finally see even the slightest of progress, it's one of the best feelings and so satisfying.

Today I started the day well, but I didn't really have a plan. I put on my workout clothes and got started with my morning. You know how sometimes you don't sleep well and you feel like your in a fog all day? Then you have those nights where you don't get enough sleep but the few hours you do get are deep and restful, so you wake up refreshed. I only got five hours of sleep but apparently they were deep and provided good quality rest because I started moving before I had a chance to think about it.

My workout was vacuuming today because I've been out of it for a while and my house and body show it. I figured I'd start with something easy and productive. It made such a big difference, because after I worked up a good sweat I just kept going from one room to the next.

I have also started logging my food in my journal because I just want to start even though I'm not completely sure about the serving size and calorie counts like I prefer. It is really helping me stay on track. This is all slight progress, but it's still visible on the scale and how I feel.
