7/11/19 - Bedtime

Thursday, July 11, 2019

I made the grocery store cashier very happy. The guy in line in front of me needed $.02 to keep her from having to break a dollar bill. He had no change, but I did. I gave her the $.02 and got a thank you from everyone.

I was given a bird bath, and this is the first year I set it up. There's green stuff at the bottom. Since I had no idea what it was, I did a Google search. It's algae. Who knew? I sure didn't. Tomorrow, I will be searching for a small brush.

Susanne is moving back to Nashville, and she and her family will be making the eight hour drive tomorrow. I'm sad and will miss her a lot. I gave her a hug and wished her a safe trip. This is a good move, so I'm also happy for them.

Sweet dreams everyone!!!

Leslie

I clean my bird bath by dumping it, adding some vinegar and water, and then use a brush and all the algae washes right out along with the calcium from the water. We also get it bad in all the animals auto. waterers. So I clean then several times during the summer. Usually at least once a week.

We have eliminated pennies in Canada. So if you pay with cash, it is rounded out out to the closest number. I.e. .02 would be eliminated, whereas .o3 would go to 5 cents. If you pay with a card, the cents still stay. It was a bit bizarre at first, but we are used to it now.
We have a pool and a lot of trees, so we keep an algicide (I hope that’s in English😉🤣) handy......
Sorry your friend is moving so far away.

This is why I hate pennies so much! Good for you for that kind act!

Random act of kindness. Building good Karma. Some businesses around here keep a penny container near the register. Most people will throw their odd pennies in it when they get change.

I put bleach in my bird bath, scrub it with an old dish brush, and rinse well. I rinse and fill it daily with fresh water and it stays algae free for several weeks.

So sorry that your friend is so far away.
