In February I received a Prediabetic diagnosis with an A1C of 6, and by May I had my blood glucose down to under 100 and now it is back up in the 120's. June was very stressful! My older sister-in-law passed away quite unexpectedly, within a day of us racing out to see her, and we traded our Big Truck, which was very expensive. Then we missed 3 weeks of work due to the funeral and moving the younger sister-in-law back from Missouri to Indiana where we live and getting her somewhat settled. I didn't get much exercise and most days food was not of my choosing along with very little sleep or rest. As a stress eater I did not handle the overload at all well and reverted to old habits. emoticon

Three days ago I decided i had better get on board with the "SparkPeople 8-Week Diabetes Weight Loss Challenge" and make that one Spark thing my priority since I have only 10 weeks before my next doctor appointment. I don't very much like to blog but maybe it will help with accountability and will help me press on to victory over this monstrous disease that runs strongly on my dad's side of the family. emoticon

Good for you! Hugs and condolences for your loss. Glad you are determined now. BTW, I wish my A1C was 6! It's all relative. Good wishes on your health journey.
