Goals & Gratitude 7/8/19

My grand plans for today never materialized. I was exhausted when I went to be last night after 36 hours with no sleep. I thought I slept good, but it was hard to get out of bed. I didn't get up until after 11 AM. I ate breakfast and did a couple of little things, but by 1:30 PM, I was back in bed napping. I took two good naps and slept for about 3 hours. I thought I would feel better this evening but I still don't. It's 6:45 PM and I'm sitting here yawning. I don't think I'm going to make it to the gym tonight. Usually I'm so alert at this time of day, but not tonight. I think I'll just turn on the cooler in a little while and head to bed with a book and hope I feel better tomorrow.

The new shoes are good, but I made a big mistake with them yesterday. I wore way too thin of socks. The bottoms of my feet are feeling very raw. I don't have any blisters, but my feet are sore and red. I have spent all day in soft slippers hoping they would feel better. I think I better let them rest for one more day. The good thing is that I found 5 pairs of nice thick socks in my drawer that I can wear with my shoes and I am pretty sure that will solve the problem.

I was so looking forward to Zumba tonight, but it will have to wait until next week. There's a Zumba class on Thursday, but I have an online class meeting at the same time. So, next week I'll have to try again.

I start class fulltime tomorrow. My two new accounting classes start tomorrow. I am still waiting for my textbooks to come in the mail and I am trying to track them down. I don't have tracking numbers for them because someone else ordered them for me. Hopefully I will hear from that person tomorrow as to where they are and when I can expect them. I can't do anything for either class until I get the books.

I didn't get any of my normal homework done today. I had planned to read for several hours, but that never materialized. I will try again tomorrow. Hopefully I will sleep early tonight and wake up a little earlier.

Tomorrow's Goals: (Pretty much the same as today.)
1) Deal with the laundry and changing the sheets.
2) Read at least 3 chapters for my two classes.
3) Do at least one chapter's work for Business Ethics.
4) Review the syllabi for my two new classes and organize the info in my planner.

Today I'm Grateful For...
1) A soft bed.
2) Air conditioning.
3) Warm kitties.
