New Misfit

Sunday, July 07, 2019

Well yesterday my new misfit arrived and I'm looking forward to using it for a good long time to come. I had to start a new account as my old one was under a old email address and even customer service couldn't help me change my email on it. So I had to reconnect spark people to the new account it was alot more effort than I really wanted it to be. But I'm glad now that it is done.

1432 steps today, I'm doing pretty good. I went to the Emergancy room because for the last 2 weeks I've been in extreme pain do to my SI joint popping in and out of place sending Sharp Radiating pain through my pelvis back and legs. I was at the point of not being able to hardly move with out pain shooting through my body. But even with that I have tried to get a walk in everyday. The ER gave me some Steroids to help calm down the inflamation. Between it and the Ibprofin it seems to be helping. I'm not out of pain totally but I was able to go play Pokemon Go for a while today.

Yes Pokemon Go is my reason for taking walks. I love catching pokemon and doing dungeons. I think that is the best get off your butt game in the world. I know they just came out with a Harry Potter game that is also location based but I can't get that to work on my phone. See I've always needed a destination or a place to go in order to go for a walk. I know have lots of destinations thanks to Pokemon Go.

I also go to the YMCA once a week and walk the Lazy River pools current going against the current to work my hip. I think the fact that I've been working my SI joint in the lazy river after 2 years of sitting on my backside may have caused me to over work the joint and cause all my pain and problems.

So now I'm going to Physical Therapy on the 12th of July, and I'm not sure if that will do me any good as the first two times didn't do any good but I'm willing to try at the very least it is more exercise that I can track.

I'm also going to talk to my doctor as soon as possible for a Pain management specialist as I can't be incapacitated because of my SI joint. I have to be able to exercise and I have to be able to do for myself my roommate Amanda has been so Awsome I can't praise her enough, She has been basically weighting on me hand and foot because I haven't been able to move enough to take care of myself. I want to get back to doing things for myself. It is good to have a best friend that loves me enough to help me like that.

THANK YOU AMANDA!!!!!! (She will know who she is)

As for the food tracking I'm still having a problem staying in my range do to having to consume 350 calories just before bed to take my Latuda with so it will work right. I can't find something that is exactly 350 calories for a snack and I just figured out the sandwich I've been eating nightly are 438 calories. That sandwich is what throws me over everytime.
I really could use some suggestions of Cheep, easy to make idea's as to foods that are exactly 350 calories everyone. I'm going to also check on the Diabetic boards and forums that I'm apart of, see if I can get some good Idea's how to fix this situation even a little bit.

I'm open to ideas.

So far on my trip to Lincoln City Oregon I've walked- 20.31 Miles it is slow but steadily growing.

I'm really am trying to stay positive and stay as close to on track as possible.

Hope you are feeling better soon. As to the sandwich you like so much, try maybe 3/4 portion of 1/2 portion that may bring the calories down to the range you need. It's hard to get everything just right but you are going in the right direction.

Good luck with the SI and hope the PT works for you.

    Here's an idea for a sandwich - a 150 calorie English muffin with 2 T of peanut butter (195) = 335
or a low sugar yogurt (around 100 calories) with bread or English muffin and peanut butter or cheese to add up to 350 calories.
