This was an awesome day starting with our church service this morning. We started out our Favorite Hymns with When the Saints Go Marching IN and actually marched around the sanctuary. It was fun and everyone seemed to enjoy it. Everything else went well. emoticon

Came home for "me time" and watched the Astros win a game at the last minute. It was a back and forth game that left me sitting on the edge of my seat most of the time. Really liked the way it turned out. emoticon

I had pinto beans for lunch with pickles; at dinner I finished up the beans with a boiled potato (butter, seasoning), fresh home grown tomato slices and pickles. Getting my veggies in. The beans did have sausage in them for my meat. Actually a little under on calories but it's ok. I don't feel hungry. emoticon emoticon

Fixing to close up here and go to bed a little early. I have to play for a funeral tomorrow morning and then may need to drive to Willis if my daughter is having surgery. I'll let you know after I know.

Have a wonderful evening and prepare for a great week.

I'm happy you had a nice day yesterday. And I will certainly keep you and your daughter in my prayers. We have something in common, I love to garden as well! Been picking cucumbers (the neighbors are going to start finding them and the zucchini in their mailboxes soon), cherry tomatoes and zucchini. Have a great week ~Melana (Mel) emoticon

A special THANK YOU to all my Spark friends. I really appreciate your prayers and thoughts for my daughter. As it turned out, they were going to put a stint in her neck or clean an artery that had 40% blockage. Instead, because it wasn't 50% they sent her home with instructions to get her diabetes under control and possibly it would slow the dementia down. As it is now, her 3 daughters are buying and prepping her meals with complete instructions on how everything has to be done. She is so fragile that she has to be more careful. She's not one that likes staying still so this is really hard on her. Please keep the prayers going and thank you so much. It means a lot to me and to her.

It sounds like a fun church to go marching and singing in. I can't wait for fresh garden tomatoes. Too early for ours in Wisconsin. Sounds like you had a lovely day. I hope all goes well for your daughter.

We have been enjoying some homegrown tomatoes too. Most delicious tomatoes we have ever grown. I'll be thinking of you and your dear Elizabeth tomorrow. You both take care. Prayers from Oregon emoticon
