Day 187: Christmas in July

Saturday, July 06, 2019

"I hope there are days when your coffee tastes like magic, your playlist makes you dance, strangers make you smile, and the night sky touches your soul. I hope there are days when you fall in love with being alive." (Brooke Hampton)

Happy Weekend!!!

You read the title right, I’m having Christmas in July blogs. I’m not sure why I never thought of this before, but here we are. Now, what exactly am I doing for Christmas in July? Since we’re are more than halfway to Christmas there are some things, I need to start doing for the holidays this year. I’m really trying to be organized, have a plan and give my Mom a wonderful Christmas this year. The first year without my Dad it was just the two of us, last year she was with my sister and this year I want her to enjoy the holidays a little more. For the month of July, I want to start doing some Christmas-type blogs. It could be about how to plan out things, trying some new recipes and other holiday thoughts and ideas. Plus, Hallmark channel is showing Christmas movies, YAY! I’m pretty sure there will not be a Christmas blog daily, but a couple of times a week I will have one. I’ll start with those next week.

We just got a call from my Aunt about my Grandpa. She is taking him to urgent care because of his leg again. We’re just going to wait for her to call back to see what’s next. So, I’m going to jump in the shower and get ready. Please send your prayers that things turn out good for him.

Okay, we’re back home. We went out earlier this morning to see him. He is doing fine. Remember I told you all about his leg and the infection? A nurse goes down to the house a couple of times a week to clean it. On the 4th a new nurse came down and put a tighter compression sock on him and later my aunt looked at it and he had red and white lines up his leg. She called into the doctor’s and they told her to take him to the emergency. He’s doing good but wants to go home. I swear he really does have nine lives.
