On the plate today -
Wednesday, July 03, 2019
Aside from food, that is (I'm trying to exercise portion control and meeting a friend for pizza this evening - a challenge), the plate always has numerous chores. Contact the insurance company about moving to a new place, contact folks who have signed up for the AARP Safe Driving class I'm teaching, and help my wife settle in with a new medication that, hopefully, she won't have to take for long.
Negotiations on the purchase of the new house are almost complete - less than a week to settlement. Getting that one off the plate will be nice. Once we're owners, the whole minor repairs and maintenance thing will start. Hopefully this will be the last move we make before, one day, perhaps, considering assisted living [now a landmark we are holding away in the indefinite future].
Finally, the plate has room for some exercise, again to try to preserve or recover full capability. Happily my wife and I are both doing well. It's taking effort, however, and effort at physical exercise does not come naturally to me.
Independence Day tomorrow - where to see the show? Still thinking about that. Maybe a men's group I will visit this afternoon will have suggestions/plans.
