All or Nothing

What an interesting topic to blog about. Spark Coach's focus today is on just that; an all or nothing attitude to getting healthy. Coincidentally, I have been working with a fellow classmate (I am studying to be a life/executive coach) on how the quest to perfection can be paralyzing.
While I've been embracing the fact that "nothing I do has to be perfect" in my work, I haven't been applying it to getting healthy. I wonder why I haven't made that connection until today?
I have spent the majority of my life trying to be perfect and that has truly held me back from many things. Where this mindset came from it anyone's guess; but I have a pretty good notion. What has happened in the past is just there; in the past. I cannot change history but I can affect the future.
Perfection is too damn exhausting to keep up and too hard to attain. I hate the hold it has had over me, and I am tired of procrastinating the tasks that need to get done.
Healthy eating and exercise need to happen in their glorious, imperfect forms. It's time for another paradigm shift!
