So, it is not Independence Day yet, but I love celebrating it!! We have not gone to a fireworks show in forever, and I just messaged City Hall to see if our new city we moved to has it's own show or not. Our neighbors will no doubt have fireworks set off in our street again (hopefully with no mishaps this year, last year they nearly set our yard on fire!!). I'm pretty sure it is illegal for them to do so, since we live within city limits, but this is a neighborhood of a lot of veterans and cops, so who is going to complain? Only if they manage to set my yard on fire. That was due to a malfunctioning firework, though. We would go to the one in the next town over, but crime is skyrocketing over there, and I really don't want to be in a big crowd with all that going on.
I found some sugar free marshmallows on Bariatricpal.com and am considering buying a bag to take on vacation, so I don't feel left out when everyone else is roasting marshmallows. Also considering buying some protein bars to take on hikes and in my purse for in case I get hungry. Not sure. The shipping to get it here in time is a little crazy. I wish I could drive so I could go to some health food stores and see what they have. Maybe I'll have DH drive me to a few tonight. This is the same site I'm going to start getting a subscription box from. I think it will be really good to try some new things and see what is out there and what I like without having to buy a whole box and then decide it is awful.
I have a lot of prep work still to do in my planner for today and for July. Some of it can wait and I can take it with me on vacation and work on it then, no big rush. But some I want/need to get done this morning. Like our schedule for the week. I worked on what the kids want to do each day for fun, but made it clear that this week is going to be a cleaning and prepping for vacation week. I want to come home to a clean home.
I did a 'brain dump' yesterday, filling out 2 pages worth of stuff that I want to get done or need to do, so it is not swirling around in my head, it is on paper where I can prioritize it and assign it to a day/time to get done.
I'm off to get my 'daily do it' sheet done and work on prioritizing that sheet of things that need to get done and working on my planner and goals. I hope to make the best of July, and lose the weight that I have put back on!! I discovered after I got home from thrift shopping that I didn't actually get that much clothes for myself... need to go back to the thrift stores!! At least so I can have enough clothes to last during vacation and not have to do laundry, as I don't know if the cabin we are staying in has a washer/dryer or not!! Gotta find this stuff out!
