June 28th youth service and 29th morning

Saturday, June 29, 2019

After our trip to the property, I took a little nap. Heard the kids practicing for the service, and started to head down the stairs but was met by Sabina coming back from the property - someone had loaned her S/300 (about $100) and she'd been closing it off from invaders. She sent me back upstairs and heated up some chicken for my supper. Then we made 42 PBJ's to serve after the service - and let me tell you, she was very conservative with the spreading of the peanut butter. I showed her how we do it in the states, to her amazement, and then told her that's why we Americans are overweight!

I met some "new kids" and was given the opportunity to share from the Word, which I did about the importance of giving thanks in all things (1 Thess 5:18).

Afterwards there were greetings all around, with especially big hugs for my spiritual kids, like Jhon!

Then sandwiches were served and I chatted with Jhon and Ruthie - amazing to think I've known these "kids" for 15 years! and met Joseph and a young lady, then was introduced to another sister from a church where I'd preached some years ago. Then to bed! And I was able to sleep in til 7:30! Ruth made breakfast for me,

as Sabi spent the night at her little house, along with Moises, to establish ownership and residency against any claims against it. So here I am!

What a great experience! My friend in Nicaragua is trying to sell his remote organic farm; squatters are a huge problem (they have destroyed his fences and the well). (His wife prefers to live in town, so the farm was unoccupied for a period of time)
