Goals & Gratitude 6/22/19

So sorry I haven't blogged the last two days. I have been way too busy and tired at night to even think of blogging. Yesterday was our first full day in Washington, D.C. In the morning, I walked the entire length of the National Mall up and back to the Washington Monument looking at the sites. We saw the WWII Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam Memorial, and the Korean War Memorial (which I hadn't seen before-- seen the other ones). After that we had lunch and rested for a little while, then we went to the Natural History Museum in the afternoon. Today, we went and saw the MLK, Jr. Memorial and the FDR Memorial, then the National Archives to see the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. After lunch we went to the Air & Space Museum, which was packed. I just had dinner and I'm back at our Airbnb. The rest of my group just went to the Library of Congress and will be back in a couple of hours. I'm here resting and I'm going to do some homework for a while here once I finish this blog. I really haven't had time to do much homework and I just need to crank some out tonight. I'm glad for the rest time and a little "me" time too.
I'm getting in lots of exercise-- I hit almost 18,000 steps yesterday and about 12,000 steps today. Tomorrow I'm going to church in the morning, then off to the exhibit floor of the American Library Association conference. They give out free books. Count me in! I'm not sure what else we're doing tomorrow. I'll just have to wait and see. I'll post pictures when I get home.
Today I'm Grateful For...
1) That I slept so good last night.
2) That I've gotten some fun souvenirs (a hat, t-shirt, and water bottle).
3) That the weather has been nice and cool the last two days. I was expecting it to be a lot more humid.
