Officially "In Training" again!

Friday, June 21, 2019

Happy Friday! Today is my off Friday (we work 80 hours in 9 business days so we get every other Friday off). I am so stressed though. I lead a project and my team is very new. We started our first big test this week and they are testing alone today! Eek! It is an easier component but I still worry for them. I know they can do it, but I don't want them to feel overwhelmed. I am in text message contact if they need me :)

Anyway, not sure what I want to do today. I need to clean my office (like 3 months worth of clean laundry to sort, fold, and hang!). But it is also gorgeous out. Beach day? It *is* the first day of summer. But I want to be available for my work peeps just in case. And 75 is a little chilly for the beach (its always colder and windier at the shore). Right now, I am playing with my Silhouette Cameo making stickers and a new phone cover. Plus, that cleaning thing I said I would do. Haha.

I have a race tomorrow! It is the Bungalow Beach 5 Miler in Atlantic City. My friend Callista is running too. We will run it together I am sure since she hasn't been training much (she's usually much speedier than me) and its more fun doing it together so we can chat about our trip. Did I tell you all?

Callista and I registered for Disney Princess Half Marathon 2020!!!

Yup, that's right! Girl's weekend! We are so excited. She's doing most of the planning since she has a travel agent and has been there with the family. I went once in high school but that's it. I have a few half marathons between now and then as well. I want to get faster so that photo stops with characters doesn't totally take forever. LoL.

Speaking of training, I have a half marathon in a little less than 12 weeks, which means I am in training mode! Sadly my knee isn't loving this idea. It has been feeling much better this week though since I exercised it on Monday. We are definitely on the up swing now! I am pretty excited about this race. It is the Gulf Beach Half Marathon in Connecticut. My friend moved up there so I registered us both as a birthday present. Weekend with her plus a fun race! Check out these past medals

Oh, I also since up for *another* race in September. I ran the Ocean City (NJ) Half Marathon last year and loved it. But I am doing the Gulf Beach Half September 14th in Connecticut with a friend so I didn't sign up for OCNJ. Well, I was at the running shop in Ocean City, talking to the employees and apparently since its the 10 year anniversary of the race, they are giving extra cool stuff as swag... So I signed up. LoL. They are even doing jackets in place of tshirts! How fun! Their swag is always cool so I'm excited. It will be a fun run for me and I'll be trained from the race 2 weeks earlier (OC is the last weekend of September).
Last year's race: www.sparkpeople.

I have several other races already on the calendar for the fall and the spring. There was a race I was *wasn't* going to do but a friend said it looks totes cool and she wants to come visit again and run it (my friend Esther who came out from West Virginia and ran the Love Run as her first half but it rained awful and she got the chills - she wants a do over at the Atlantic City April Fool's Half!)

ANYWAY! Enough about all this running. I am going to get cracking on that laundry pile - or continue playing with my sticker software - look how cute next week's set is!

In case you are not into the planner sticker world and you are wondering what I do with these...

What I do in my spare time.

Well, that's all for today!

Oh how fun...anything Disney could be fun. You could be tinkerbell, it's easy to pull off with shorts and a tutu while running.
