Beck Principles

This morning, I pulled out my Beck cards. These are cards that I made following the Beck Diet Solution principles. Judith Beck is my hero, her books have revolutionized my eating, health and wellness habits. Her dad is considered the father of cognitive behavioral psychology. In a really tiny nutshell, it is a process of changing our thoughts that influence our choices in a negative way. Judith created a program to help overweight individuals. I bought her books and changes happened immediately. I don't, probably should read them daily, yes, I will get back into that habit. These are my cards. I add to them periodically with words of encouragement and things that I want my brain to think EVERY DAY! I do keep them on my desk with my journal, my computer~~connection to Sparkpeople.

The 1st card you see is one of the reasons I want to loss weight, HEALTH IMPROVED. All the "doctor numbers" go down, Exercise increases bone strength, hence less osteoporosis and risk of fractures. Decreased risk of heart attack and stroke, etc.

I highly recommend The Beck Diet Solution. Sparkpeople has a Beck team as well. Her pink book is probably the best. Be prepared to change!!!!

    I bought her book years ago. I'm going to pull it out and start reading it again. I love your cards and the way you keep them on a ring. Thanks for sharing your ideas, strategies, reasons, and journey!
