12 Days In of Tracking.

After 12 days of tracking food and intentionally NOT changing the way I eat I have noticed some things:

1. I like my coffee creamer. I tend to put in about 3-4 TIMES the serving per 16 oz cup. Its my major splurge and where a lot of extra crap is coming from. Most other things I have no problem eating the serving size or under.
2. I tend to forget lunch. No wonder my babies have strong witching hours, I forget to feed us all! They have snacks, but lunch is just not in my head. I've missed four of the last 12 lunches, and would have missed more had I not been tracking.
3. I also love late night snacks. When I go over on my calories (only 4 days of the 12.) Its because I got the munchies before bed.
4. I am not having any difficulties staying under my calorie goals most of the time. In fact some days its dang hard to hit the 2250 that the doctor and nutritionist both said I need to hit BARE MINIMUM.

So I guess I get to start coming up with better ways to drink my coffee. Any ideas?

    Your blog today is a great testimony of why and how SP works so well! Teaching us things which are "right there" but we couldn't see until we did the steps to bring it all to light. Way to go! Best wishes meeting all of your goals.

    Coffee creamer is one of my weaknesses. I use way to much! Tracking for 12 days is a great start.

    I love my creamer too. During the week I drink tea, then on the weekends I drink coffee, but now I get out of the tablespoon and measure and build that into my calories that day.

    I use a lot of creamer too. I use sweetened French vanilla creamer. I brew my coffee a little weaker. I measure how much creamer I put in. I build it into my daily calories. I am not giving up my French vanilla creamer. I only have two 12 ounce cups of coffee a day. I drink water for the rest of the day, except maybe a glass of milk with dinner.

    Like your blog - taking time as you did to track without thinking of changing things and then going back to look over it you found what some of the problem is

    Suggestion - you have listed 4 things = take one of them and work on improving it = maybe start with your coffee creamer - just track the creamer first before adding anything else and look at the nutrient values listed at the bottom of the tracking page - this could be an eye opener. I would work on cutting this back to eventually having your coffee black - but once you have made a noticeable change pick one of the other in your blog to work on.

    Switch to flavored tea. I’m a teacher and when I switched to flavored tea I cut out additives and hidden sugars completely within 6 months. You can get almost the same caffeine from certain teas as coffee, but unsweetened tea hydrates
