I Met Wilma Yesterday

Wilma is a robot. She stretched my pec muscle yesterday at physical therapy. Seems like I do have a little more range of motion in my left shoulder. I also got 4 exercises to do. I will be sure to do all that I am assigned, because I want to have all the function I can. I'll be going to PT two times a week for at least 6 weeks.

I had another good eating day yesterday and I weighed 134.0 this morning, just one pound more than my new relaxed target weight. I am feeling strong and in control. Making progress, again. I completed the National Weight Control Registry annual survey this morning and it was helpful that I could look back on SparkPeople to see what my weight was one year ago. It was 131. I believe my fluctuation this year has been 127-137 (I weighed 140 a couple times in the evening or very sodium-bloated). I would like less fluctuation, but I recognize that as of right now I have kept off 78 pounds and that is nothing to sneeze at! I wish it were easier, I keep looking for something easier, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes, at least intermittently. How to keep the motivation up 24/7??

The bad news is I woke up at 5am this morning not because my left shoulder was hurting but because my right knee was hurting. I got my ice bag and went back to sleep, probably over-icing my knee. Oh, well. I HATE having a sore knee because it threatens my running. I am going to take it easy today. Hope I can do the gentle run with Martin tomorrow, but we'll see. I averaged over 15000 steps last week, but bet I won't this week. I have not had a knee problem in about 9 years. Hope this one heals fast! I'm thinking it will. Seems somewhat better in the last 5 hours.
