Blackberries Precautionary Prophylaxis

Don’t you love fresh blackberries? I do!
They are SO flavorful, and they’re loaded with vitamins and fiber! They make the most wonderful cobblers and pies, and I especially love turning them into SORBET! Freeze them, then throw them into a food processor with a tablespoonful or so of Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk until everything is smooth, and you have a fabulous and spectacular frozen treat....
But I have ONE thing against it, and this is a trifling thing, and probably wouldn’t be a problem if I weren’t such a messy klutz.... blackberries can stain anything permanently, and I have had to retire clothes after I’ve managed to get blackberry juice on them.... it seems strange to keep clothes just for eating blackberries, but it just isn’t practical to plan on eating blackberries naked all the time, so my discovery of a solution is very welcome.
I have almost an entire wardrobe in the colors of my beloved alma mater, Texas A&M, and my collection of maroon tee shirts is perfect for blackberry eating! Maroon is PERFECT for hiding the occasional splash of blackberry juice!
I don’t know why I didn’t think of it earlier, since I raised my children to wear red whenever we ate Mexican or Italian food! (I saved an awful lot of aggravation that way over the years!) Maroon has never been a particularly good color for my own coloring, but over the years I’ve managed to collect quite a few Aggie shirts, and now I am so glad that I did!
