Tim and I bribed the kids with breakfast after church this morning as we had 15 minutes to get up and out the door. We made it while the first song was still happening. Whew! The message was on how we can shift ourselves into the role of "God" for our lives instead of letting that job rest where it should.
After breakfast at Burger King (ugh) we all went our separate ways at home. Tim is working on the trimming of the master bedroom/bath and put Isaac to work cleaning up from his week of flooring. Maegann and I slept. I had my buddies in the living room for my 2 1/2 hour nap. Maegann is still asleep (it's now 3pm). I know she was worn out from the week, but last night had a late one as she was talking with her friend in NC after he'd returned home from an ER visit that included an MRI. He knew he had a small blood clot in his brain, but had been experiencing some other scary issues so his mom took him to the ER. Nothing had grown, but they gave him something for the inflammation and he agreed to have the surgery next month to remove it. That added some anxiety for Maegann as her own brain MRI is tomorrow afternoon.
Now I am finishing up here before heading to the kitchen to make lunch/supper. Today's experiment is a chicken taco. Should be hard to mess that one up! LOL Not sure if Tim still wants ice cream for Father's Day now that we've spent $$ on breakfast. Still trying to get caught up with the finances. Gaining a little ground.
Tomorrow both kids are home and I need to get Maegann busy on her new job here at the house. I also need her to work on scholarships too. I have another conference call for work (this appeal should be interesting) in the morning. Isaac has the afternoon with Meg and then comes the MRI. Full day, but nothing too taxing.
