Happy Father's Day - what my father taught me!

good morning; My dad was such a hard working guy. He worked 3 jobs to put food on the table and clothes on his family. He was an immigrate from Italy and spoke no English. He was the oldest of 9 so had to drop out of school at 9th grade to help his brothers and sisters. He learned English and working was who he was. He supported his sisters with a house he paid for. Many times our heating would go out in the winter due to lack of payment. He would take small jobs anything to help his family. I did not see much happiness in his face, but what I learned is my father who loved his family so much that he would work hard honestly to feed his family. He went to night school to get his diploma. He taught me that school is important. I used to try to have times to talk with him, but he was a busy guy with 3 jobs. I would sit and watch him shave in the morning just to get time to talk with him. Dad - you worked hard for your family. I wish I saw more smiles on your face, but I knew you cared and loved us all. Love, your daughter.
