It's a good day; haven't bitten anyone!

I was losing one pound a week, and then shot back up, over my highest weight ever - pre-thyroid diagnosis. My eyesight is blurry in/out, my hair feels "crunchy" as my niece calls it and I'm grouchy. ~sigh~ I was diagnosed in my early thirties with "low thyroid" and have never found that "sweet spot" when it comes to medications. Initially after the diagnosis, I did lose weight - around 100 lbs - and stayed at 250 lbs for a long time. I was strong, alert and active. Then I crashed after a stressful time - 2 deaths in short time combined with high stress workload and already working through PTSD/depression/anxiety diagnosis - and it's never been the same. I've been refused specialist appointments and told to "zip my mouth shut." I think the blurry vision is dry eyes, as I keep forgetting to use the drops. I have extremely dry eyes. (dry mouth, dry skin, you name it, it's a desert here).
On a brighter note, my niece and I are having fun at our new town pool. People are not coming to the pool - after decades of fighting for one and allowing significant increases in tax base for maintenance - so we are enjoying being the only ones there. It's a gorgeous pool, however, it's small and not very deep. There are no lessons or aerobics - which is fine by us, as it allows us the whole one side to play in. The times are limited, so we try to go every Friday, Saturday and Sunday as the only other day is Thursday (but only from 6 AM to Noon).
We went last night but skipped today. She decided to go with her Dad to the city. We may go tomorrow, depends how busy she gets with her horse.
I will go take my thyroid test on Monday as I still have the card, so hopefully it's still valid. I'll make an appointment with the doctor, for July, and sort this stuff out. And if one person tells me to "cleanse my soul" and "meditate away the pounds" I will sit on them.
........with that I'll leave you with some laughs.........
