Marathon Training - Week #1

Training for the Chicago Marathon had started for me on Monday, June 3rd and was already starting off with some pain in my IT Band and hamstrings. I have got to do a better job of strength training and stretching this time.
These are the runs that I did for Week #1.
Monday, June 3 - 7.03 km
Wednesday, June 5 - 6.12 km
Thursday, June 6 - 10.13 km
Saturday, June 8 - 5.90 km
Sunday, June 9 - 6.15 km
I am following the marathon plan in the Running Room’s Book of Running and keeping track of my runs in a Runner’s 2019 Log Calendar.
I made a point of running on Global Running Day but am glad I had it on the scheduled day to begin with.
I also want to do a better job of cross training this time so went for a ride on my rest day from running and had a good time.
Nothing to remark on for the rest of the week but am glad to get back in training.
