Done with Week 7 - 22 Pounds

Tuesday, June 11, 2019

HMR is the easiest diet to stick to I've ever been on. The food couldn't be more convenient and I like it, and I'm never hungry, or if I am, I just eat something fully on my plan and then I'm not hungry anymore. Sometimes I get absolutely full just from eating the minimums. Since the food is fully satisfying, I'm never tempted to cheat. I have been around plenty of yummy looking junk food in the past 7 weeks, but it's easy to say no when you're satisfied with the food that will help you reach your goals.

I have my coaching phone calls on Monday nights which means I just had one last night. I wish there were more time to just talk about whatever we want to talk about, but with so many people and a plan that needs to be followed, that just isn't possible. But still I absolutely love the validation each week that I am doing exactly what I am supposed to be doing and that it's paying off just the way it's supposed to. I like having it on Mondays because then the motivation to keep going can spread throughout the week.

Another positive effect I started noticing a week or two ago has to do with my fitness level. My favorite cardio is the elliptical, and all of a sudden I started being able to go at my former sprinting pace...which is now my new regular pace! I can just fly on that thing without my heart rate going up nearly as high as it would have before. I can now do probably about 3.1 or 3.2 miles in 30 minutes at a resistance level of 10. I've also been doing some strength training and some jogging outside but the jogging depends a lot on the weather, and this is embarrassing but twice in the past couple of months I've tripped and fallen while jogging outside! Need to be careful.

Anyway, I'm still giddy about my success so far and looking forward to keeping it up. I have about 10 and a half weeks left until my brother's wedding and I keep wondering how much weight I will have lost by then! (I won't be able to hit my goal by then unfortunately, but I do think I can be in the lower 170s by then.)

Awesome... but do tell... what is HMR? I lost 70 lbs on KETO in 10 months and then nothing in the last 8. :-/ but the inches are still melting away so I don’t know what to think.
