Today's blog covers Agreement Four: "Always Do Your Best"
This agreement is what I think is the heart of SparkPeople. Everyone comes here because they want to be better, and they try their best to succeed so that that can regain their health and well-being.
Doing your best doesn't mean you don't make mistakes. It means that you make the effort to learn from those errors and focus on improving, so that you can be even better tomorrow. "When you do your best you learn to accept yourself. But you have to be aware and learn from your mistakes. Learning from your mistakes means you practice, look honestly at the results, and keep practicing. This increases your awareness." [Ruiz]
Every day I try to do my best and to be my best self for today and today alone. It is the mindset I am trying to adopt for the rest of my life. Thanks, Spark friends, for your continued support!
ALWAYS DO YOUR BEST.
Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick.
Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret.
