May Goals Critque

emoticon Eating / Nutrition: Goal: Eat at least 4 - 5 servings of freggies each day and eat mostly according to the Fast Metabolism Diet. I need to get back to eating 3 meals a day every day. It seems as though the weekends are when we get up late and eat late. That seems to throw my days off and then we don't eat lunch.
Result: I did mostly well with this. The weekends, though, are still a work in progress.

emoticon Water: Goal: Drink 8 glasses of water each day. I was doing really well with this and now over the past week or 2 I've slacked off on this and haven't been drinking as much water as I should be.
Result: I got my 8 glasses of water each day except for the week our friend was here visiting from California.

emoticon Alcohol: Goal: Limit my alcohol consumption at home and when going out to eat. I want to limit my alcohol intake to no more than 1 day a week.
Result: I did pretty well with limiting my alcohol consumption. There were a few times I went over the 1 day a week but for the most part I stayed on track with this.

emoticon Exercising: Goal: Go to the Y a minimum of 3 days a week. When we moved I misplaced my combination lock and had to go buy a new one. Now that I have a new one I can walk to the Y and use the pool then walk home. Well, assuming that it's not below 60 degrees on those days. Hubby is using the Total Gym at home because he doesn't want to pay for a membership fee while we are having to pay rent, house payment and utilities on both houses so maybe I can drive over to the Y while he exercises at home.
Result: we still had so much going on last month that I didn't get to the Y that often.

emoticon Organized: I need to get many aspects of my life a little more organized. I think I'd feel better about myself and everything else if I could get organized. I swear I get a medical documents in the mail every couple of weeks it seems and it drives me crazy. I need to organize the medical documents, house documents,etc....
Result: I did get some things organized but I still need to finish organizing some things in my office.

June Goals

The last 6 months have been super stressful - finding out last November after Thanksgiving that we had to move out of the house we were renting by the end of August, looking for a house, buying a house and all of the stress that comes before you sign the actual contracts at closing, waiting a month to actually move into our house, dealing with the homeowner of the rental house who decided he wanted to try to screw us over because we bought a house before our lease was up even though his daughter (landlord) told us it was okay to get out of the lease early if we found a home before the lease was up, moving, cleaning the rental house, having to threaten to take the rental house homeowner to small claims court over the security deposit, visiting our best friend's mom in the hospital and then furniture shopping.

I know I gained weight over the last 6 months. We're pretty much settled into our new home and have since realized that I need to focus on taking care of me. I've recommitted to my goals and to taking care of myself! I've cut back on my coffee consumption by 1/2 and I've cut back on my sugar intake as well and I am now paying for a personal trainer at the Y. I've paid for June and have 2 one hour sessions each week. I had to commit to at least 3 months. That takes care of the summer. When summer is over I'll decide whether I want to continue or if I feel like I can manage on my own afterwards. Most all of our stresses our behind us and now I plan to move forward.

I just had a 6 month follow-up with my primary care doctor. I gained 13 lbs since the end of November. Not as bad as it could have been but still more than I should have. I'm not a big sweets eater normally. I'm more apt to eat savory foods rather than sweets. I definitely ate too many sweets and we ate out too much especially these last 2 months. I'm determined to get these 13 pounds off and hopefully more by the time I see my doctor for my next follow-up and physical exam in 6 months!

Eating / Nutrition: Goal: Eat at least 4 - 5 servings of freggies each day and eat mostly according to the Fast Metabolism Diet. Work on eating 3 meals a day every day.

Water: Goal: Drink 8 - 10 glasses of water each day.

Alcohol: Goal: Limit my alcohol consumption at home and when going out to eat. I want to limit my alcohol intake to no more than 1 day a week.

emoticon Exercising: Goal: Meet with my personal trainer twice a week for ST and go to the Y at least one other day for ST. Go to the classes for water walking or water aerobics, Pilates, Yoga or whatever else.
I've already met with my Personal Trainer once and will be meeting her again in a little bit. I've also been to water walking and water aerobics. Not sure what else I'll be doing but I'll go again tomorrow and the next day to the Y.

Track food: My personal trainer told me to track all of my food. I've been tracking here and there but I need to be more diligent about this.
