I realized this morning that a change my husband made has really had a benefit for me! I'm from the generation where "diet food" includes salad, cottage cheese and a Tab, but I realize now I actually have a real problem with cottage cheese.... I LOVE TO DIP THINGS INTO IT! My biggest downfall, in looking back over my food logs, was cottage cheese and the amount of it we were eating. Now that we have stopped buying cottage cheese and ANY tortilla chips, I have actually lost 25 pounds! The chips and cheese were my go-to comfort food in the evenings. With them out of the house, I'm not even missing them and just sipping on water or herbal tea instead. And, my husband reports his skin has improved without the dairy in his life. What a difference!
