This morning I got on the scale, unusual for Monday as I usually fast for 36 hours and don’t get on the scale until Tuesday morning to see where I stand with my weekly weigh-in.
But my stomach was rumbling and last night’s dinner seemed such a long, long time ago.
I thought: maybe I can skip my fast for a change.
I weighed in: 217, at the upper range of my 210-220 comfort zone.
Not enough buffer for the week ahead. Must stick with my weekly fast as usual.
Sigh. But at peace over noting how predictable my body and eating routine has become.
Those are some of the rules that help me to maintain my weight loss. There is a comfort that comes from nailing down such rules that work so well for myself!
I got out for a beautiful thirty-some mile bike ride as I knew I had to start getting in shape for all the big rides that await this summer, most especially the Five Hundred Miles Across New York that runs a new course this year from North to South, Plattsburgh to Poughkeepsie, cruising down the Hudson River valley during the last week of July...woo hoo!
