Yesterday was Day 1 … again … and was very rough. Witch of a headache, felt ill, wanted to beat myself up, thought I was starving to death, felt punished. Hmmm … more later on this.

Moving on to Day 2. Alllllll food items needed for success are in the house. Hubby and I are easing into being home. We have new neighbors … we haven’t met yet. It snowed 10-12 inches while we were gone … yep, springtime in the Rockies. So, a few yard things to take care of.

The first week of our month-long vacation … we traveled from home to Amarillo, Texas. We’ve been through here thousands of times … so nothing exciting. Then we drove on to Waxahachie where we had breakfast with my BFF and gave her the quilting cutting mat, I bought for her. More on this later.

Murphy the wonder dog lost his name tag with our phone number on it so … we tracked down a Petsmart and bought him a new one instead of going to the quilt shop I wanted to visit.

Driving through Houston … awww, geeeze. We saw 7 very bad car accidents … one of them … not everyone got to go home that day.

Why do I mention car accidents???

Those of us that drive, we were taught the rules, practiced them and then were turned loose on the public with our license. At least we had to take a written and then driving test first.

Those of us trying to lose weight. Well … I bet 99.9% of us could pass any written test on how to lose weight.

Many of you have passed the lifestyle change “test” and are maintaining.

Many of us are still trying to get out of the driveway.

Many of us have been successful and then had “accidents” and had to start over.

The drivers in Houston mainly did not follow the speed limit posted everywhere. A lot of drivers while speeding, darted in and out of the cars. Very few used their blinkers, so you had no idea they were gonna pull over in front of you … bumping your car. No kidding. They didn't want to follow the rules.

What rules am I gonna follow to get out of my own driveway, pass the lifestyle test and then release myself from allllll the accident memories???

Change your mind … and the rest WILL follow.
