Day 9 AF after my 9 Day Slip
Monday, June 03, 2019
They say at times 'fake it till you make it'... well this is me today - on Day 9 AF after my 9 day slip following 277 Days AF.
My moods are not back to where they could be yet, but I'm hopeful that as I get to the double digits and with some self-care and setting of healthy boundaries that I'll get there.
I'm also going to talk to my doctor about this cycle of emotions I seem to go through yearly (as is evident from my FB memories as they come up). I need to find the formula to bust through this without turning to booze or food to do so. I did my weigh in and measuring on the 1st and feel bloated but my goal is to get back to 160'Ville by July 1st.
I'm taking the steps to keep moving forward... and started listening to a new audible this morning from Debbie Ford "The Answers are Within You".
Self-care includes the following:
✅ checking in with support groups (here and on FB)
✅ acknowledging what I have to be grateful for
✅ daily personal development (love my audibles during my commute to work)
✅ daily exercise (doing the Tank Top Arms challenge in the Healthy 4Life Group and going for 10,000 steps a day)
✅ clean eating and at times fasting to cleanse/reboot (as I'm doing today)
✅ balancing my daily activities between work, home life and personal time
