More like multi thinking which cost me a peaceful sleep plus $75.
I have been "making hay while the sun shines" and cramming a lot into my days this week was a prescription for a mental lapse. After spending much of the week on my knees removing dead sod and weeds from along my driveway yesterday I had a full schedule. Grocery shopping (my fridge was EMPTY), delivering a full load of "stuff" to a charity yard sale for the Grannies of Kikima and then driving for an hour to the shop where my hubby and I bought our airtight fireplace. Last autumn the chimney cleaner suggested that my fireplace surround and mantle would not pass the fire code and if I chose to sell my home that issue would have to be rectified before I could list the property. Unfortunately he was right and the lovely maple woodwork my husband installed has to go :(. That of course got my mind racing and later in the afternoon while locking the garden shed after lawn mowing I realized too late that the only key for the shed was now on the shelf in the shed rather than in my pocket.
Hence the $75, a service call this morning from a local locksmith. Lesson learned
. Just as he was leaving a truckload of mulch arrived, 7 cubic yards to be spread this coming week. I have promised myself that will be the only task on my mind, onwards I go! Tomorrow will be a rain day, I will prep meals for the week ahead, get some spare keys cut and treat myself to some fresh produce at a local market.
Thanks to fellow Sparkers who have given me support for the past year; today is my first anniversary of maintenance!
