Goals & Gratitude 5/29/19

When I signed off of SP yesterday, I took one last look at my research paper and realized, to my great surprise, that I was done! The word count is 1600-1800 words and I had written about 1700 words. So I emailed my professor to find out if I could go over the word count. He said a little, but not too much. So I spent today reworking some sections, adding a little and deleting a little, and I am done! I printed it out so I can edit it, but it is at 2000 words right now. I know I need to delete about 200 words, so I will work on that. It feels so good to be almost done!
I've done 4 out of 11 of the Cost Accounting homework problems. I'm going to do two more when I finish this. That leaves me 5 to do tomorrow. If I can get it all done, that's great, but if I have one left to finish on Monday, that's okay too. I will be home from my mini-vacation about 3 pm on Monday and that leaves me time to finish the homework and take the quiz. I'm trying to do as much as I can, but the homework is really time consuming and I don't know that I'll have enough time to do it all tomorrow.
I've gotten out for walks the past two days, 53 minutes yesterday and 35 minutes today. It's been hard to get back into the swing of things. I love to walk but it's starting to get hot out. It was kinda hot to walk this afternoon, which is why I didn't walk longer. I'm hoping to get out there either early tomorrow morning or later in the evening. That's better than walking in the heat of the day.
I leave early Friday morning to visit my BF Peter in his hometown. He lives about 8 hours (driving) north of me. I'm taking Amtrak, which I'm very excited about. I've done it before and it's a beautiful ride, very green and scenic, with lots of cows. We go right up the coast of California. However, I have to take the regional train from where I live to the main train station in downtown L.A. at about 6:45 in the morning. It's a long ride, almost an hour and a half, all with commuters going to work. Bring on the books! I'll have all day to read, which will be like heaven for me. Anyways, tonight I need to clean up the house a little and start packing.
1) Pack and get ready to leave.
2) Finish the dishes.
3) Finish up the homework that's due this weekend.
Today I'm Grateful For...
1) That I had time to go walking today. I nearly didn't go but pushed myself.
2) That I had a good conversation with an old friend last night.
3) That I'm on vacation this weekend!
