Goals & Gratitude 5/28/19

Tuesday, May 28, 2019

Well, I really worked today and I got through the bulk of my research paper. I wrote almost 6 pages plus I wrote out my references page, which takes a lot of time because it has to formatted correctly. I wrote the introduction, background, and review of the literature. Tomorrow I have to write the discussion & analysis and the conclusion, and then on Thursday I can print it out and edit it then turn it in! I feel I am almost at the end of the road for this semester and it feels good! I also did the homework for Financial Statement Analysis, though I haven't turned it in yet because I am waiting to hear back from my teacher on one item. I just have the Cost Accounting homework to start today. My goal is to do two problems, and only two, just to get started. As I have until Thursday evening to get it done, I don't have to do it all today.

A couple of people asked me questions on my last blog. I finish school in December. One of the reasons I am so busy is that I am full-time, first of all, but also that I am going to two school concurrently. I am taking two classes at the community college and two classes at the university. The university classes are towards my certificate in accounting. The community college classes are towards me being a CPA someday in the future. Once December rolls around I will stop and get a job. In a few years, I will have to take some more classes so that I can become a CPA, but I have time for that. Right now, I am trying to get as many classes done as possible. Per a second question, I have about a week off in between spring and summer classes, but I am taking summer school, so I don't really stop. My break is in two weeks.

I didn't get to the post office today-- it just didn't happen-- but I have time to go tomorrow. I am still working on the laundry! It's never ending!

Tomorrow's Goals:
1) Finish writing the research paper.
2) Work through 3-5 more problems on the Cost Accounting homework.
3) Work on writing parts one and two of my Financial Statement Analysis project.

Today I'm Grateful For...
1) That I slept so good last night. I got up late, but I've had enough time to get everything done, so it's all good.
2) That the weather is absolutely perfect outside.
3) That I have lots of leftovers, so the only thing I have to do in the kitchen is the dishes.

Way to go! Many many moons ago I got my accounting certificate. And quickly realized that's not what I wanted to do when I grew up. In fact, I STILL don't know what I want to be when I grow up. lol
Congratulations on all your progress so far, and good luck with your research paper!
