5 years and still sparking

I was looking to see what my weight has been over the past few years. I know that the lowest I've gotten was 220-something in 2016. However, I was taking Adipex and it all came back once my body stopped responding to that drug. So, i checked out my starting weight on Spark People and realized I have been here since 1/1/2014! The good news is at least I weigh less than when I started back then (by 4 pounds lol). However, I have weighed more than I did in 2014 too (by 20 lbs).

It's crazy that so much of my life has been consumed (get the pun?) by losing weight and gaining it back and losing it again. I am finally going back down and I think that this time will be different. I have finally applied all of the things that I have learned from extensive research and it's working. It's hard to lose weight in your late 40s and early 50s but it's been dropping off at a steady 2 lbs per week for about 3 months. Why did it take me so long to pay attention to everything I learned??? (Because I am stubborn) - but I feel better than I have in years.

So, I will keep on plugging away and am looking forward to being lower than I have been in years by the time I celebrate my 6-year anniversary with SparkPeople! Keep sparking y'all!
