Today, Spark Coach is asking me to blog how I deal with cravings. I will be totally honest with you- I cave to my cravings! Yesterday, I was craving chocolate BIG time! I bought oreos and had a ton of them, and then after dinner gave myself a chocolate sundae. It's ok though- I know that is NOT how I'm going to continue.

A few years ago, I found a book called Made to Crave. I even joined the spark community for that book. But I've never really given their advice a shot. The author has a mental script that she has prepared and memorized and written it down every where. When she has a craving, she repeats that mental script. She then distracts herself with feeding her spiritual needs. She turns physical cravings into a signal to feed her spiritual hunger. I LOVE that!

As I overhaul my life, that is where i'd like to start. Tomorrow is Sunday- the perfect day for creating my own script. Today, while I don't have the time to create that script until tomorrow, I will just repeat that I am made to crave something more than chocolate. It's a sunny, beautiful day (yesterday was rainy and hailing and COLD! I was wearing my winter sweaters, and I live in one of the coldest parts of the country, y'all, so I have THICK sweaters!) But I'm going to use that sunshine and warmth today and while I'm thinking of what my script will be, I will go soak that energy up when I have a craving today.

I'll report back for sure so you can keep me accountable. I'll share my script and share how sunshine saved me from chocolate today!
