May 24 - The Longest Day!

Friday, May 24, 2019

Is bedtime ever going to come? I am so thankful days like this do not happen often. Every time I look at the clock it is unbelievable how little time has passed and it's still only 5:30pm. My day was very uneventful.

Next up....jigsaw puzzle time.

So here is the great reveal of Isaac's hair! Pretty sure you can tell which is the before and after!

He originally wanted it more of the bleached "yellow" color, but as his hair is so dark -- I never knew there were that many shades of black hair -- he would need another 1-2 lightening sessions. He said he likes this one so I scheduled a hair trim with Maegann for two weeks from now.

Sounds like Tim and Wendell are planning to paint the shop tonight so I should have a quiet living room until about 7pm.

Isaac was not happy about basketball as he had to go see the coach at lunch and was told he would be on the Development team. I see it as "at least you have the opportunity to work on the weaker skills" and he saw it as "I don't even want to go." Well, he went and I had him propped up with the thought that if he is that much better than the coach thinks, it will show as the stress of knowing you are trying out is gone and he might get shifted to another level.

Tomorrow my chore is to get the bathroom cleaned. Maegann will be at school. Isaac will be with Patrick all morning and Tim will be working on the addition. Isaac and I will be watching Dakota (he's about 12 with autism) while his mom is getting lots of fun things done with her hair by Maegann. Once Maegann is back from school she and Tim will switch gears and head out for Colorado. Their goal is to drive all night, but I pray they will stop somewhere if they get too tired.
