It's Hitting Me Hard
Saturday, May 18, 2019
So I had a doctor's appointment last week. It was the yearly gynecologist visit. I was speaking to her about the change in my menstruation for the last several years. After a lengthy conversation about all the changes that occurred over that time, it came down to one major difference - my weight. It was over that time that I gained back the 40 lbs I had lost back around 2014.
She gave me "the talk". I'm sure you know the one....
It's very hard for us to do once we have these habits.
Change one thing at a time.
The most important and most effective thing to change first is your eating.
It's not a diet - it's a lifestyle change.
You will have to go grocery shopping about twice a week due to the amount of meat and produce you will be eating - fresh food does not have as long a shelf life as the processed crap.
Pick a date and start!
Exercise is the next thing to work on.
With your schedule (teacher life), you have Friday, Saturday, and Sunday open. Pick one day during the week that is less busy and there's your workout schedule.
This is all so overwhelming. I know what I need to do but my brain gives excuses not to for each one. I'm 37 yrs old - not getting any younger. As I get older, my body is changing. The doctor made it quite clear that it is only going to get harder for me to lose the weight the older I get.
